HW: Gather together three artifacts to demonstrate the most important things you learned in LA this year; spend some time writing your thoughts about each of these three things in your Composition Notebook (or you can type these if you prefer. Bring artifacts and notebook to class tomorrow, along with anything else you might want to use to create your Learning Portfolio.
T (B) Final project: Learning Portfolios
Learning Portfolio
Create 3 "museum" pages to represent the most notable learning you have done this year in Language Arts.
For each page, on a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock, you will present an "artifact" of your learning (photo, drawing, test or quiz, piece of writing) that represents a important moment in your achievements in Language Arts. You will then add a descriptive reflection on each page, a kind of curator's note (as you would have in a museum) that explains the artifact and how it relates to your learning -- what happened and what you have gained as a result. You can add other elements to the page to represent your best achievements in language arts. Remember, learning can be mastery of content, acquiring new skills, or personal growth. Your final and 4th page will be a cover page for your Learning Portfolio.
Note: Prepare as much as possible for this the night before. You will essentially only have time in class to put it all together.

3. Obstacles and Solutions -- list all; focus on one in detail
4. What you learned (this should be lengthy and detailed)
